And the winner is... Ruth Harrell of North Carolina! Ruth was chosen in a random drawing of all those who answered the contest question. (Early in the book, Sinclair is shocked to see his mother wearing a gown of what color? Answer: yellow.) Ruth will receive a freshwater pearl necklace (I'll post a picture of it to the Shirl's Pearls page before I send it), a signed copy of WHAT AN EARL WANTS, and several other goodies. Congratulations, Ruth!
I can't tell you how much I appreciate the positive feedback I've received since the launch of this site, and my book's release. Having a first novel out there for public consumption can be quite scary! But fans like you have made the late nights (and early mornings) of pounding my forehead against the keyboard, trying to make the story just right, worth every bit of effort..
I'll let you know when the next contest is ready to go. In the meantime, I love to hear from readers! If you'd like to be included on my postcard mailing list, fill in your street address. Please rest assured that the information will stay with me, and be given to no one else. It will be used only to drop you a card once or twice a year. I'll also add you to my e-mail newsletter list unless you tell me otherwise.
